Saint Marys Staff Library: Guidelines for Group Study Room Reservation

• Reservations during normal business hours can be 3 hour blocks of time per day.
• Rooms are available for use during staffed library hours.
• Consider extra time needed to initiate and/or wrap up meetings when determining reservation time.
• Please honor the designated time of your reservation. If you need to extend your time, please check with staff at the service desk to ensure the room is still available.
• Do not leave personal belongings or library materials in the rooms as they are not secure.  
• Rooms without reservations are available for drop-in use.

Options for additional spaces on campus:

Drop in locations and conference rooms not affiliated with the SMH Staff library are available for reservation.  The Room Reservation System will be transitioning to Outlook reservations in 2024.

• Search the Enterprise Location Management System (ELMS) to determine if the conference room you are interested in should be reserved in the former room reservation system or Outlook.  The ELMS will identify the technology available in each space.

Study Room Descriptions:

• Group Study Room A (MH1-513) has 2 round tables and a flat screen television that can be connected to a laptop.  It seats up to 4.
   
• Group Study Room B (MH1-503) has 1 rectangular table, a flat screen television that can be connected to a laptop, and a whiteboard.  It seats a maximum of 10. 
   
• Room M (MH1-502) has 1 small table but currently lacks media amenities. It seats 2.

To reserve a room adjacent to the Saint Marys Staff Library in Marian Hall:

• E-mail the library at library.smhstaff@mayo.edu
• Call 507-255-5647
• Use the online reservation system. 

If you do not keep your reservation within the first fifteen minutes, the reservation is considered to be canceled.
