How do I set up an email alert in Ovid?

Using any Ovid database (MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycINFO, etc), you can easily create search alerts. 

Begin by creating your search in the Ovid database of your choice.

Then, click on the "Save Search History" link Image of Save Search/Alert icon in an Ovid database at the bottom of the search history portion of the Ovid main page.

 

If you are not already logged onto Ovid, you will be prompted to log in. If you do not have a Personal Account in Ovid, you can create one at this step.  Once you've logged in or created an account, the Save Search History button will take you to the "Save Current Search" page. Change the Type to "AutoAlert (SDI)" and fill out the information for email address, scheduling option, etc. You can specify how often you want your search to automatically update.

If you don't want to perform the above procedure, another option is to tell us what you are searching for and we will set up an Autoalert on the reference library Ovid userid. You won't need your own Ovid userid for this.
