Request a Library Account
Set up a library account by contacting your campus library. View library locations.
If you are unsure of your campus location and would like a library account, submit your request using the "Ask a Librarian" form on the Library Home Page.
Checkouts and Loan Requests
If there is a title you wish to check out, there are several options available.
- To borrow a book from the library, visit your local branch and take items to the main desk. Your Mayo badge barcode will serve as a library card. If you need assistance finding an item on the shelf, library staff at your local branch can help you.
- Print materials loans are usually 6 weeks, with 1 renewal available if no one has placed a hold on the item. Some exceptions may apply.
- You can also browse the online catalog and place a hold to pick up the items at your nearest location. You may also place a book on hold by clicking "Request" at the top of the book item record. You must have an established library account to place holds or request materials online.
Libby
Libby is a mobile device app and a website where you can check out e-books and audiobooks using your Mayo Clinic email and Microsoft Authenticator.
