The W. Bruce Fye Center for the History of Medicine houses archival collections that contain official records of the Clinic and its administrative offices, official and unofficial publications, departmental annual reports, committee minutes, photographic and moving images, sound recordings, personal papers, and memorabilia relating to the Mayo Clinic, its mission, programs, and people.

The Mayo Clinic History of Medicine Library is a specialized library housing important collections in the history of medicine and allied sciences, including several thousand rare medical classics.

The Boerhaave Society is a medical student interest group in medical history. It exists to facilitate and promote medical history research among medical students in order to preserve the knowledge of the achievements, failures, and struggles of medicine throughout history and to make future physicians cognizant of the foundations upon which they practice.
