A personalized service delivering Table of Contents and forthcoming articles to your desktop.
The Mayo Clinic Libraries continue to enhance its Current Awareness Service. This is a free personalized service available for all Mayo Clinic employees enabling you to stay current in your areas of interest.
Accessing the Current Awareness Service.
Find Current Awareness on the Mayo Clinic Library homepage or at: library.currentawareness@mayo.edu
How to get started.
Log in if you have not entered from the Library Home page portal.
Browse Subjects to discover journals in your areas of interest.
Or search for journals by title.
Find a journal of interest and check the box. You will now receive an e-mail when new content is available.
Note the 'Publisher' column. Click here to go to the Journal's website to get instructions for authors and other journal information.
Now Personalized!
The list of your 'checked' journals becomes your personalized list, and can be found under the 'My Journals' tab. Here you can 'View Alerts' that have been previously delivered.
Don't want the e-mail, but want to stay current?
Or, if you are going away and don't want lots of e-mail waiting for you, look for the "EMAIL ALERTS: ON" button. Simply click this button to suspend the e-mail delivery. You can view the recent content on your 'My Alerts' page. And Yes, you can retrieve those PDFs! You can also quickly resume email alerts by clicking this button.
Be sure to click the “What’s New” tab to see journals that have been recently added to Current Awareness. Journals that have been added within the last month are featured under this tab.
