Evidence Synthesis Guide : Communication

This guide provides information and resources which may be helpful when undertaking a systematic review, scoping review or other type of evidence synthesis review.

Communication

Have a plan in place for team communication. A 2009 survey identified time and communication between coauthors as the primary barrier to completing Cochrane reviews.1 "It is important to establish effective communication strategies at the onset of the project... This helps prepare for the challenges that having review authors in different time zones, distant locations and even different languages, brings."2
