The Office of Research Regulatory Support (ORRS) was established for the purpose of providing assistance to Mayo Clinic investigators working on FDA regulated research involving drugs, biologics, devices or other test articles. Serving as a centralized resource for information, expertise, and support, our staff can assist you with navigating the complex regulatory environment related to the conduct of clinical research under investigator-initiated INDs or IDEs.

The Research Compliance Unit works proactively with investigators and administrative staff to meet the following needs: compliance to Federal and institutional rules, awareness of the complexities of regulatory requirements protecting human subjects and animals, effective approaches to managing risk, and avoiding penalties for noncompliance to applicable laws and regulations.
