Mayo Clinic Libraries Announce Access to AJCC Cancer Staging System

by Wail Kailani on 2024-08-12T09:22:09-05:00 in Clinical Resources, Evidence-Based Practice | 0 Comments

Mayo Clinic Libraries are pleased to announce the addition of the AJCC Cancer Staging System- Version 9 to the electronic resources collection. The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) has changed how it updates and releases Cancer Staging content. They have shifted from a Cancer Staging Manual to a Cancer Staging System and will now publish new Versions instead of Editions.

The new AJCC Cancer Staging System - Version 9 replaces the eighth edition of the AJCC Cancer Staging Manual, which was last updated in 2017. Content in the system is presented in a streamlined, easy-to-use format, including a synopsis-based report format, tables, explanatory notes, and illustrations. All disease sites in the 8th Edition Cancer Staging Manual remain current until replaced with Version 9. The eighth edition of the Cancer Staging Manual is also available as a reference on the site.

The AJCC Cancer Staging System- Version 9 is just one of thousands of resources available to Mayo Clinic staff and learners. Visit the library website to see complete lists of e-books, e-journals, and point-of-care tools available from any internet-connected computer.

If you have questions about these or other library resources, please contact us at library@mayo.edu or 507-284-2061.
