A new exhibit titled “The Autopsy: In Pursuit of Pathology” is now on display in the Plummer 12 Library in Rochester. The exhibit, which features historical artifacts, archival documents, and rare books related to autopsies, will be on display through September 2023. The exhibit was curated by the staff of the W. Bruce Fye Center for the History of Medicine and showcases a selection of medical equipment, historical documents, photographs, and wax models related to the history of autopsy and anatomic pathology at the Mayo Clinic. The staff of the W. Bruce Fye History of Medicine Library selected rare and historical volumes illustrating the general history of autopsies, dissection, and pathology.

Visit the Plummer 12 Library to see the exhibit. If you work outside Rochester or are working remotely, you can browse the exhibit virtually on the W. Bruce Fye Center’s website.
