New Resource: JoVE Unlimited

Mayo Clinic Libraries has expanded access to JoVE, the Journal of Visualized Experiments, which now includes over 15,000 videos demonstrating clinical skills, laboratory methods, and key science concepts.  JoVE is a unique, video-based collection of textbooks, lab manuals, journal articles, research methods, and other educational materials.  

JoVE has titles dedicated to Basic and Advanced BiologyChemistryClinical SkillsEngineeringEnvironmental SciencesPhysics, and PsychologyA complete list of journals and topic areas is available on the JoVE site.


New Resource: Libby

Libby is a mobile device app and a website where you can check out e-books and audiobooks using your Mayo Clinic LANID. 

Visit https://libby.mayo.edu or install the "Libby" app on your device to try it now. 

This new collection of nearly 1,000 titles supports the needs of staff working both on campus and remotely with seamless access to library materials, no matter where you are. With topics ranging from AI to Leadership, and Business to Parenting, there is sure to be something to spark your interest. 

Other important features:

  • Standard checkout time is 21 days.  Items will return automatically when they are due.
  • Items will download to your device automatically when on WiFi to save data. 
  • You can also read on Kindle.
  • If the item you want is checked out, you can place a hold and be notified when it's available.
