How do I request items from storage?

 

How do I get items from “RST Book Storage” or “RST Journal Storage" and how long will it take?

 

For Books and Journal Volumes:
Use the “Request books/audiovisual materials” form located under "Quick Links" on the library home page.
Book stack
  • Allow 1-3 days for delivery to your intra-clinic office or to your local Mayo library.
  • There is no fee for delivery of books or journal volumes.
  • A replacement plus processing fee is charged if item is not returned to the library by 3nd notice.
   
For Articles or Book Chapters:
Use the “Request PDFs of articles / book chapters” form located under "Quick Links" on the library home page to request individual articles or book chapters.

Delivery options include:

  • Electronic Document Delivery (EDD)
  • Hard copy delivery through intra-clinic mail
  • Hard copy pick up at your local Mayo library
   

What is Book/Journal Storage?
Journal storage

Book and journal storage consists of high-volume storage areas in Rochester. Staff retrieve items daily for projects in clinical care, research and education. 

Be aware that working hours at the warehouse do not include evenings or weekends which can sometimes delay normal delivery schedules.
