EndNote, a reference manager software package licensed by Mayo Clinic for institutional use, will be upgraded from version 20 to 21. Beginning on Oct. 30, launching EndNote from Mayo Dock will install version 21. Users with versions X9 and 20 can continue to use the locally installed version of the software without upgrading.
EndNote is a powerful tool for collecting, managing, and citing references. The Mayo Clinic Libraries can deliver literature search results in EndNote format, making tracking large article sets and gathering PDFs easier.
EndNote also integrates into Microsoft Word and simplifies the citation and bibliography process. See the library's complete guide for details about how EndNote can help you with the research process. Updates in EndNote 21 include improved automated retrieval of PDFs and updated online syncing capabilities.
Mayo Clinic maintains an institutional license for EndNote, and you can install the software on any PC connected to the Mayo network from the Mayo Dock. Mac users can install EndNote on Mayo-owned Macs using the Self Service tool.
Mayo Clinic's license also allows students and staff to install EndNote on their personal computers. Detailed instructions for downloading and installing the PC and Mac versions of EndNote 21 on your computer are also available in the EndNote guide.
With over 7,800 electronic journal subscriptions and access to hundreds of databases, the Mayo Clinic Libraries offer extensive medical and scientific resources. EndNote will help you easily track and cite the resources you use. Visit the library's EndNote guide to get started.
