Frequently Asked Questions

I just signed up to receive a journal's new content alerts. When will I begin receiving them?

New content publication schedules vary greatly by journal and publisher. If you have signed up for a journal's alerts and don't receive an email notifying you of new content soon afterward, it is likely that an alert was sent recently or will be sent at a later date. A journal's publishing schedule can be found in the "About" or "Archive" section of its homepage.

I haven't received a journal alert in while. What happened to it?

Some journals publish new issues only once or twice a year, others eventually cease or are discontinued by our Current Awareness service. If you are curious as to why you have not received a journal's alerts, please email us at library.currentawareness@mayo.edu.

How can I download an article's full-text PDF?

Click the blue "Download PDF" button when viewing a journal article to download a full-text PDF. If you don't see this blue button or are still unable to download after selecting it, please contact us

I'd like to submit an article to a journal for publication. Where can I find instructions for doing so?

Instructions for article submission can be found in the "About" or "Submission Guidelines" section of a journal's homepage.
